68 TOYOTA AYGO 1.0 VVT-i AUTOMATIC X-Cite 5 TSS 5DR X-SHIFT
Description
So, I’ve got this 68 Toyota Aygo 1.0 VVT-i X-Cite 5-door hatchback with the x-shift automatic transmission — it’s got that 1.0-litre engine and runs on a fully automatic manual setup, no clutch pedal, just smooth shifts. The x-shift mode feels like a proper automatic, but it’s actually an automated manual underneath, which I’ve always found kind of clever.Inside, there’s a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can plug in your phone and use it like it’s on the dash. Bluetooth, DAB radio, USB and aux ports — everything you’d want for a basic setup. There’s also a rear view camera, lane departure warning, automatic headlights, and LED daytime running lights. Safety-wise, it’s got VSC (vehicle stability control) and pretensioner seat belts.
The interior’s fairly tidy — 12V socket, cup holders, a 50/50 split folding rear seat, and a parcel shelf. The seats fold up easily, and there’s decent boot space. Wheels are 15-inch alloy, body-coloured bumpers, electric mirrors, and privacy glass on the back. I’ve kept the interior pretty clean, so it’s not just a shell — it’s actually usable.
This one’s not roadworthy right now, and it’s been in accident-damaged condition (CAT N/S), which means it’s not for daily driving. But I’m selling it because I’ve got a real interest in restoring or using it as a project — or maybe you’re a mechanic or DIYer looking for a solid base to work on.
I’m based in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, and I’ve been in the motor trade for over 25 years. I’ve seen a lot of cars come through, and I know how to tell what’s actually usable, what’s salvageable, and what’s just a project.
If you’re into working on cars, sourcing parts, or just want a solid base for a build — this one might be worth a look. I’m not pushing it, just sharing what I’ve got. No fluff, no pressure — just real stuff, with real details.
If you’re interested, I’m happy to chat — I’m available Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.
