Dark Oak Fireplace Mantel

I’ve got this dark oak fireplace mantel, and it’s actually the one I kept after swapping out my old stove in boldon-colliery, West Boldon. It’s a reclaimed piece with real wood grain, and the detailing is quite nice—definitely has that old-school Victorian vibe. I didn’t need to keep it in the original place because the new stove meant I had to go with a cast mantel, so I ended up with this instead. It’s not brand new, there are a few marks and signs of age, but it’s solid and hasn’t been damaged. The wood split is on the underside, so you won’t see it from the front. It’s 1400mm long, 130mm deep, and 85mm tall, weighs about 12.5kg, so it’s not something you can just chuck in a van—best to pick it up. I originally thought it would cost over £200 back in early 2024, but now it’s just a bit of a story behind it. If you’re looking for a bit of character in a room, this could be just what you need.
