Got this old Golf from 2009 and it’s been a solid workhorse. Manual gearbox, 1.4 FSI – not flashy, but runs smoothly and gets great mileage. I’ve had it for a few years now, done a few good miles, and it’s been ticking over without any major issues. Last MOT was just one year ago, so it’s still safe to drive. One small dent in the picture – not a big deal, just a spot on the side. It’s got a new timing chain and water pump, so I’ve taken care of the basics. No log book though – I can’t find it, probably lost in the shuffle. Two keys included. Still feels reliable, good fuel economy, and insurance is no problem.
