2022 Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid 5-door Estate Vignale
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s actually my first real family vehicle, and I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out. It’s a 2022 Ford Focus, the 1.0 EcoBoost hybrid version, and it’s the Vignale trim — which means it’s got that sharp, slightly rugged look, but still feels quite practical. It’s got the winter pack, which I’ve actually used a lot of — especially in the wetter months here in Langholm. The family pack is a nice touch too — front and rear parking sensors, parking assist, and all that stuff makes it a lot easier to park in tight spots. The boot’s decent too, plenty of space for kids’ gear, groceries, or weekend trips.
Inside, it’s pretty well set up — full sensico upholstery, heated rear window, privacy glass, and all the modern bits like the 13.2-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The audio system is B&O with 10 speakers, which sounds way better than most cars I’ve seen. I also use the wireless charging pad all the time — nice for my phone.
The engine’s a 1.0L petrol hybrid, Euro 6 compliant, and it gets from 0 to 62 in about 9.1 seconds — not a sports car, but it’s quick enough for everyday driving. The ride is solid thanks to the rough road suspension and taller ride height, and there’s a bit of styling kit with active front wing badges — I like the look, though it doesn’t feel too flashy.
I’ve only driven it myself, and it’s been well maintained — just one owner, and it’s been kept in good shape. The dashboard has a digital cluster, cruise control, lane keeping aid, and even a trip computer. I’ve used the Eco mode a few times — helps save fuel when I’m not on the highway.
It’s been through a few winter drives, and I’ve found the quick-clear heated windscreen and rain sensor really useful. The seats are comfortable, especially with the height-adjustable front headrests and the 3-seat bench in the second row.
I bought it from a family-run dealership in Devon — Vospers — and they’ve been around since 1946. I still feel confident in the quality of the car and the aftercare they offer. They even give a 12-month warranty and roadside assistance, which I’ve actually used once when I had a flat tyre on a rainy evening — they came out within 30 minutes.
I’m not selling it to get rich — just looking to part ways with something I’ve used every day for a few years. It’s still in great shape, runs smoothly, and I’ve never had any major issues.
The price is £15,030 — which is a bit high for what it is, but I’m happy with how it’s held up.
If you’re in Langholm or nearby and thinking about a practical, modern hybrid with good tech and a bit of style, this might be worth a look. I’m happy to chat or show it around if you’re interested.
