2018 BMW 1 Series 15d 118i M Sport Shadow Edition Hatchback

This 2018 BMW 1 Series 1.5 litre 118i M Sport Shadow Edition is actually one of the few I’ve seen that still feels fresh after all this time. I bought it new from a dealer back in 2018, and it’s been well looked after — 54k miles, 5 service stamps, and all the factory extras are still there. The car has that sharp, elegant look with mineral grey metallic paint and 18-inch alloy wheels — feels sporty without being too aggressive.

Inside, it’s pretty much spotless. Leather seats (Dakota leather), heated front seats, dual zone climate control, and a full GPS navigation system. I use the voice control a lot — just say “play some music” and it starts right up. The DAB radio and CD player with MP3 are still working fine, and the rear parking sensors and camera are handy when parking. The auto-dimming rear view mirror and cruise control make daily drives way smoother.

It has a smooth 8-speed auto transmission, which makes it feel quick without being too jarring. The electric windows, keyless start, and tinted glass are all still in top shape. I’ve never had a problem with the engine or the electronics — just a few small things like the wipers that need a bit of a nudge, but nothing major.

I’ve kept it well maintained — regular servicing, no major repairs, and it’s been registered since September 2018. It’s got a full RAC inspection, HPI check, and no outstanding finance. The warranty is solid too — I’ve got a three-year RAC-approved warranty on it, which I’m happy with.
