Duronic double hot plates, 1500W and 1000W, portable electric hob
Description
These are the actual Duronic double hot plates I bought when I was renovating my kitchen – still in the original box, sealed and untouched. I’ve kept them stored away for ages, but now I’m just letting them go.They’re compact, lightweight (only 4kg), and fit perfectly in a small kitchen or even in a caravan or campsite. The larger ring is 187mm and runs at 1500W, the smaller one is 152mm and 1000W. I like that you can turn the dial to go from full heat to a gentle simmer – really handy for simmering sauces or keeping food warm.
The cast iron rings are sturdy, the stainless steel body resists rust, and the handles stay cool to the touch – makes it safe to carry around with pots and pans on. I’ve used it in the kitchen, on a camping trip, and even at a friend’s place where they didn’t have a cooker.
It’s got a neon light that blinks when it’s heating up and turns off once it hits the set temp. No overheat protection issues either – it’s been reliable. The base has rubber feet for stability and a standard 3-pin plug.
I’ve seen it listed online for double the price, so I thought I’d sell it at a fraction of that. It’s not fancy, but it works really well.
I live in Woolacombe, North Devon, so it’s local and easy to pick up. If you’re looking for a simple, reliable cooking option for small spaces or temporary use, this is a solid pick.
No questions, just a clean, sealed box – you’ll see the pics. I’m not selling it for much, just passing it on.
