Description
This old pen knife was given to a man who worked at a coal book colliery back in the day. The blade is sturdy, the handle’s a bit worn but still holds up. It’s got a small inscription — “LEADER IN SAFETY” — which I remember from when I was a kid, always thought it was funny. I found it tucked in an old toolbox, not much use now, but it’s a real piece of working-class history. Located in Stanhope, County Durham.
