2008 VW Beetle Convertible Manual

Got this yellow Beetle in 2008 and have been loving it ever since — over nine years of reliable, fun drives with the roof down. It’s a real crowd-pleaser when you’re out on the road, especially on sunny days.

We’re just cutting down on the number of cars at home right now, so one’s going. It’s not exactly showroom perfect — the rear driver-side window doesn’t work, the passenger side central locking’s a bit fussy, and the boot lid sometimes doesn’t close properly. All of those are things a bit of DIY or a mechanic could easily fix.

It’s got the original convertible cover too — just pop it on when the roof’s folded down to keep it safe. MOT runs till January 2026, so it’s still in good shape overall. A bit of age-related wear, as you’d expect, and it’s sold as seen. We’re hoping someone who really likes classic little cars will take it on. Priced at £900 — it’s not a fancy car, but it’s been a real joy to drive. Currently based in Whetstone, Cosby.
