Description

This one’s a solid XC40 R-Design estate — I bought it new from a Volvo-approved dealer in Choppington, Northumberland, and it’s been mostly kept as-is since. It’s not flashy, but it’s got all the smart bits you’d expect: panoramic roof, clean air system with pollen filter, and that Harman/Kardon sound system that actually works well — not just a fancy name.

Inside, it’s got black stone trim, gloss black tunnel console, and the seats are Nubuck and Nappa leather, which feels good to sit in. The seats are heated, the steering wheel too, and the front seats have 4-way lumbar support. I’ve used the heated rear seats a few times when it’s cold — the outer ones, not the middle, but it’s a nice touch.

It’s got a 9-inch centre screen, driver’s 12-inch display, DAB radio, Bluetooth, keyless entry and start, and all the driver assist stuff — lane keeping, adaptive cruise, pilot assist up to 80mph, and oncoming lane mitigation. The rear has a camera and park assist, which helps when parking.

I’ve kept the original floor mats, glovebox hook, and the cargo divider with a grocery bag holder. The boot has a foldable floor and a load net, so it’s handy for big trips. There’s a 12V socket too — useful for charging things on the go.

It’s got a lot of the safety features: airbags, EBL, iTPMS, immobiliser, and even a full-length inflatable curtain. The rear windows are dark tinted, and the headlining is charcoal — looks nice in the sun.

I’ve only driven it a few hundred miles, and it’s been well-maintained. The price is £26,190.90 — it’s a bit on the high side for what it is, but it’s a solid, reliable car with good tech and comfort.

I’m not selling it because I need to — I just want to get rid of it and move on. If you’re looking for something practical, safe, and well-equipped, this one might fit.
