Toyota MR2 (non-turbo, project car)

Description

I’ve had this MR2 for a few years now, and it’s honestly just been sitting in my garage in Kinver, South Staffordshire. It started off running fine when I first got it — I actually used it regularly for a while — but then I stopped using it and it just went dormant. After all that time, it’s not in great shape, and I’m not sure how much work it’ll take to get it back to a drivable state.

The power steering’s completely gone — won’t turn at all. Brakes are a bit sticky, pedal feels stiff, might just be from sitting so long. The lambo doors kit is on it, but neither door stays upright on their own. The driver’s side door has sagged a lot now, so it’s awkward to close. The passenger side door works fine, opens and closes without issues.

I’ve taken a few photos to show the bodywork — there’s rust, scratches, and some paint work that’s not perfect. I don’t know how the engine or mechanics are holding up underneath all that, honestly. No MOT, so it’d need to be trailered to get it assessed.

I’m not looking to fix it myself — I just want to get it out of my garage and into someone’s hands who’s willing to take it on. It’s definitely not a weekend project, but it’s a solid base if you’re into doing a lot of work on it. I’m open to sensible offers — no pressure, just a real talk about what it’d take to get it running again.
