So, I’ve got this 2018 Audi Q2 Sport 1.6 TDi here – it’s been damaged and repaired, so not a perfect drive, but it starts and drives, which is what I’m telling people. It’s got 18-inch alloys, a sunroof, sat nav, climate control, and a black/red interior. Came in as part-exchange, and had an 11-month MOT before I sold it.

I’m based in Helston, Cornwall, so if you’re coming down, I can point you to the place. I’ve been around the salvage scene for a while now, and I’ve seen a lot of these types of cars come through – some with insurance claims, some with multiple ones. That said, if you're thinking about buying it, I’d really recommend you bring your own mechanic or engineer to check it out.

The "starts and drives" part is just for loading – it doesn’t mean it’s road-ready or that the engine or gearbox are in perfect shape. The car’s been through a claim, so it’s not guaranteed to run smoothly or last long. If you’re planning to drive it on public roads, you’ll need a full repair and a new MOT. I’ve seen a few people get into trouble because they didn’t do that.

I’m not giving any warranty on this one – it’s sold as seen. I’ve got a few other vehicles in stock, and we’ve got a good mix from major insurers. All the details I give over the phone or on the site are just a quick summary. You really should come see it in person.

And yeah, it’s not for public roads until it’s fully repaired and passes a proper MOT. I’ve had a few people say they didn’t realise that, so I’m just being honest.

If you’re thinking of buying it, take your time. Check the HPi status yourself – some of these cars show "HPi Clear" at inspection, but they’ll eventually be recorded on HPi.
