Description

I’ve had this Kenwood M-93 hi-fi system since 1990 — bought it on December 8th that year, right when it was the top-of-the-line model. Back then, it was a solid £1k, but I’ve used it every single day since, and it’s never let me down. Still works perfectly — CD player, double cassette deck, tuner, amplifier, graphic equaliser, and speakers all in working order.

I used it for years with a Technics SL1500 turntable, and it still sounds good, even after 35 years. The tape deck light has dimmed a bit (can’t see it from far away), but you can still see it up close. There are a few light storage marks — just like any old system that’s been tucked away in a cupboard for decades.

The speakers have their grills, one of which has a tiny tear in the cloth — not a big deal, just a little patch job. Everything else is original: the cables, the remote, the antennas (FM and loop), and all the control cords.

I’ve checked around and seen other similar systems being listed at £450 to £700 — so I’m offering it at £157.50. Honestly, it’s a real keeper. I’m moving house and don’t need it anymore, so I thought I’d pass it on. If you’re into vintage gear and want something that actually works, this one’s been a solid companion for decades.
