Large green ceramic ornament with horse head handles

This one’s a bit of a character – a heavy dark green ceramic piece from Spain, about 50cm tall and widest at 36cm. It’s got these cool horse head handles on either side, and there’s a gladiator-style scene on both sides, like it was made for a Roman villa. The base has a little Spain imprint, which I only noticed when I was cleaning it out. I’ve only ever had it in my collection, so it’s been sitting quietly in a corner for years. I found it in a second-hand shop in Ryde, Isle of Wight, and just decided to share it. It’s not much to look at from a modern aesthetic point of view, but it’s got real charm and a solid heft to it.
