So, I’ve been riding this 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R for a bit now, and honestly? It’s one of those bikes that just feels right. It’s not flashy, but it’s loud, smooth, and absolutely packs a punch when you want it to.

It’s got the full track and performance pack — heated grips, quickshifter, Bluetooth, powerparts seat and tank protection. The exhaust? A proper Austin racing setup — sounds like it’s on a track even when you’re just cruising. Paint’s flawless black, and the KTM orange wheels really pop.

Low mileage, properly serviced, and MOT’d — no surprises. The engine’s a 1,301cc V-twin, good for 180bhp and 140Nm of torque. The new trellis frame makes it stiffer and more stable, and the WP APEX suspension gives it great cornering feel. Brembo brakes with cornering ABS and traction control — trust me, it’s not just for show.

I’ve been using the new lightweight wheels with Bridgestone Battlax tires, and it’s a real improvement in grip. The 5.5-inch TFT screen and updated electronics make it easy to tweak settings on the fly. The design’s more modern than the older models, with a sharper look and better airflow.

I’ve tested it on the road and on the track — it’s quick, it’s stable, and it doesn’t feel like a brute. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, 0-100 in 6 — not a speed demon, but it’s got the presence you want.
