Citroen Berlingo Multispace MPV 2006 Manual Diesel
Description
So, this is my old Berlingo — Betty B’lingo, as I’ve started calling her — and she’s been doing the rounds around Perth, Perth and Kinross for a few years now. She’s a 2006 Berlingo Estate, manual gearbox, 1560cc diesel, and the one that’s been used as a bit of a mobile home. I’ve actually converted her into a camper van with a wooden frame that’s fully removable — so if you want to use her as a proper car, just take it out and the back seats slide right back in.
She’s not perfect — there’s a bit of rust on the wheel trims (nothing serious, and I’ll add more photos), and she’s got 150,000 miles (probably going to hit 250k soon). But she’s a solid driver, runs well, and feels like a 2-litre engine for how much it carries. I love how it gets mileage — you’d think it’s a 2L, but it’s actually doing great.
She’s got a toilet, a kitchenette, and a spot for a bed (I’ve been using a camping mat, and I’ve actually thought about turning it into a double if needed). The awning is a real plus — gives you that extra open space when you’re out and about. There’s also plenty of storage, and I’ve got all the little bits for cooking, eating, cleaning — basically, everything you’d need on a weekend trip.
MOT runs till October 2025, and I just got two new tyres earlier this year. She’s been through a lot, but she’s still got her charm and a real workhorse feel.
If you’re into a versatile, no-nonsense vehicle that can go from a daily driver to a weekend camper — this might just be your kind of thing. I’m just letting her go, and I’d love to hear what you think.
(Price: £1,530 — just a note, not a sale pitch.)
