2018 Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDi R-Line Estate
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a while now — it’s a 2018 Tiguan with the 2.0 TDi diesel and the R-Line trim. Honestly, it’s not just a regular estate; it’s got that sleek, bold look with the black roof lining and body-coloured bumpers, which I’ve always liked.I’ve used it for everything from weekend drives to long trips, and it’s been pretty reliable. The panoramic sunroof is a game-changer — you can actually see the sky when you’re on a country road, which is nice. The heated front seats are a real comfort in the winter, and I’ve never had to turn on the heater just to get the front seats warm.
It has all the smart bits: front and rear parking sensors, dusk sensor that turns on lights automatically, adaptive cruise control, and lane assist. The car also has a full climate system with 3-zone air conditioning, which is perfect if you’re sharing it with someone who likes things a bit cooler than you.
I’ve had it through a full AA inspection — they checked it properly, and it’s got a solid service history. No big issues, just like it should be. The interior is clean and well-maintained, with good carpet mats, chrome trim, and that R-Line logo on the back of the front seats — I’ve kept it in a nice spot, so it doesn’t look like it’s been overused.
It’s not perfect — like any used car — but it’s been well looked after. I’ve had it for a few years, and I’ve never had a serious problem with it. The only thing I’d say is that the engine is a bit noisy on cold mornings, but that’s not a dealbreaker.
I’ve got a few extra bits too — like a 12V socket in the centre console, a few storage pockets, and even a fold-down table in the back. The rear seats fold flat, so it’s good for camping or when you’re hauling a bit more.
I’m based in Cemaes-Bay, Isle of Anglesey, and I’m happy to chat about it if you’re interested. It’s not the cheapest car on the market, but it’s one I’ve actually used and trusted. If you’re looking for something practical, a bit stylish, and with a bit of tech — this one’s been a solid daily driver for me.
I’m open most days, and I’ve got a lot of other cars to show you if you want to see more. Just let me know — I’m happy to talk through it.
P.S. I’ve seen a few similar models, but this one feels like it’s been driven carefully and kept in good shape. I’d say it’s worth a look if you’re after something reliable with a bit of flair.
