Vintage Antoria Les Paul Goldtop with Dimarzio & Sperzel upgrades
Description
This one’s a real gem — a 1970s/80s Antoria Les Paul Goldtop made in Japan. It’s got the classic Les Paul shape, not the plasticky modern version you see on a lot of guitars these days. The neck has a smooth, slim feel and it’s set up really well — low action, easy to play, no buzzing. The headstock is open book, unbound, which gives it that vintage vibe.Pickups are solid: Dimarzio DP 104 in the neck (Super2) and DP 150 in the bridge (Double Whammy). Both deliver a rich, clean tone with plenty of punch. The tuners have been upgraded to double-ring Sperzel deluxe units — they stay in tune even after long sessions. Truss rod works fine, no dead spots.
It’s had its fair share of use — some dings and scratches, but nothing that affects playability. It just plays like it’s meant to. I’ve been playing it for years and it’s become a go-to for my session work.
It’s currently in Bingley, Bradford, and I’m looking to part with it — it’s been a solid companion through a lot of gigs and jam sessions. It’s worth £225 if you're interested, but I don’t want to over-explain. Just thought I’d share it with someone who’d appreciate the real thing.
