Description

Got my 2011 BMW X5 40d estate and am finally ready to part with it. It’s the 5th owner, so I’ve had a real hands-on history with it — and it’s been a solid, reliable workhorse. I’ve kept it well maintained over the years, and it’s done 120k miles with no major issues.

The car’s in great shape for its age and mileage. Interior’s been spotless — seats and trims are barely worn, and the cabin feels fresh. Exterior’s not perfect — there’s a bit of scuff on the rear bumper, but nothing that affects the look or value. Engine and gearbox are smooth, no roughness, no weird noises. The 8-speed ZF auto works perfectly, and everything else — lights, electrics, windows, roof — is fully functional.

I’ve had a full timing chain job done at 119,163 miles in May 2025 (invoice attached), and there’s a solid service history: 18k, 35k, 50k, 51k, 62k, 72k, 94k, 104k, and then the full service at 119k. All done at BMW dealerships or trusted garages. The car’s had a MOT till December 2025, and it’s in the cheaper tax band — £395 a year. Airbag recall was completed years ago.

It’s got the original Pirelli P Zero tyres, all in good condition. No warning lights, no faults, nothing that bothers me. I’m happy with how it’s been treated over the years.
