Description

So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s a 2006 Volvo C70 Convertible, naturally aspirated 2.4L engine, semi-auto, and it’s still running smooth as a silk. I’ve had it for a while, and it’s actually been in a private collection, so it’s not been on the road much in the last few years. The owner passed away, and it sat for a bit while probate sorted itself out — which is why it’s not had a full service history, but I’ve checked it thoroughly.

It’s got a full MOT, deep clean, and I’ve had the paint polished to really bring out the black sapphire shine — it looks like new under the sun. The roof works perfectly — electric hardtop, opens and closes without a hitch. Pillarless doors and windows, so it really feels like an open-top drive.

Inside, it’s cream leather with wood trim — super comfy, and the seats have memory function for both driver and passenger, front heated seats, automatic climate control, and all windows are electric. I’ve got the original floor mats too. The sound system is factory Dynaudio with a 6CD changer and a subwoofer in the boot — not flashy, but it plays well.

The engine’s a 5-cylinder 2.4L petrol — known to be reliable and smooth. It’s a 5-speed auto, shifts nicely without any crunches, and has manual mode if you want to take control. Fuel economy’s around 30mpg, which is pretty good for this age. Odometer’s at 105,173 — not a lot on the clock, and it’s been well looked after. There are a few stone chips on the front, and a couple of light marks, but the body’s otherwise spotless. The headlights are in great shape — no yellowing, no seal issues.

I’ve had it all freshened up — new tyres all around, fresh number plates, and a full polish. It’s been sitting for years, so it’s not been driven much, which is probably why it’s still in such good condition. There’s a bit of brake fluid change and OEM cambelt stickers under the bonnet — shows someone cared.

I’m still waiting for the V5C, so if you go ahead and buy it, you’ll need to complete a V62 form — I can provide that. I’ll also give you proof of ownership.

Test drives are welcome, but only if you can show me insurance. I’m based in Crossgar, Newry, so collection would be from PO18, near Goodwood — I’ll make it easy to arrange.

If you’ve got questions or want to see more photos, just reach out — happy to send them over.
