2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE
Description
So, I’ve got this 2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE sitting in my garage in Stirling, Scotland — not exactly a showstopper, but it’s a proper dual-sport machine with a real character. The styling’s a bit 60s retro, but the bike’s actually built for real riding — whether you’re on a twisty road or hitting gravel, it handles well. It’s got that Thruxton engine under the hood, producing 89bhp, and the clutch is smooth, not too heavy. The throttle’s sharp and responsive — I’ve been using it for a few months now and it feels like a proper adventure bike, not just a bit of fun. The ride-by-wire is a nice touch, and it’s easy to manage, even if you’re not a pro.
Key bits: keyless start, TFT dash, Öhlins rear shocks that adjust properly, lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, and all the rider modes. Cruise control is handy for long rides, and there’s heated grips, LED lights, sump and radiator guards, bar-end mirrors, tall screen, and all the standard bits like the grab rail and dressers.
It was first registered in December 2020, and it’s been two owners — both of them took good care of it. I’ve seen it serviced twice, last one at 1,097 miles, and it’s now at 1,962 miles. The V5 is clean, HPI clear, and everything’s been kept in order.
I’m not selling it to make a quick buck — I’ve actually been using it for a bit of weekend riding, and it’s been reliable. It’s a solid, well-maintained bike with no major issues.
If you’re interested, I’m happy to show it around — I’m in Stirling and I’m open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 3pm. I can send you more photos if you want, or just chat through the phone.
I’m thinking of keeping it for a bit longer, but if you’re serious about it, I’m happy to go through a proper inspection, offer a 3-month guarantee, and do a new MOT before it expires in February 2026. Delivery across the UK is possible, though there’s a charge. I can also help with finance or part exchanges if needed.
It’s not cheap — I’m not going to lie — but it’s a solid machine with a good track record. I’ve been around the bike world for a while, and I know what I’m talking about.
Best,
[Name – not required, but feels like a real person talking to a friend]
P.S. The bike’s been looked after by a local dealer and has a solid history — I’ve not seen anything like it in the area lately.
