Description

So I’ve been holding onto this Caroline Shotton print for years now — “Moo you looking at?” — it’s one of those pieces that just draws people in. It’s a limited edition, number 19 out of 195, signed by the artist, and I’ve only ever seen one other copy in person, and that was years ago. I bought it back in 2008 from Smart Gallery in Harrogate, which is now Castle Galleries, and it’s been in a smoke-free place ever since — always kept safe and in great condition.

It’s 44” x 28”, so it’s a big piece, definitely not something you’d hang quietly — it’s a real talking point, always gets noticed when someone walks in. I’ve had it in my home for over ten years, and it’s been a real highlight for any guests who’ve seen it. I don’t know if you’ve seen it online, but it’s actually not widely available — I haven’t seen another one for sale anywhere. Comes with the original certificate of authenticity too.

I’ve been thinking about letting it go because it’s been a part of my life for a while now, and I’m just looking for someone who’ll really appreciate it. I’ve had offers, and it’s a solid £540 — I’m open to reasonable ones, but it’s definitely one of a kind. If you’ve ever seen a piece of art that just feels like it belongs in a room, this might be it.

It’s currently based in Dalton-in-Furness, Westmorland and Furness.
