Got a 1971 Early Bay VW T2 camper that’s actually running and being used regularly — not just sitting in a garage. It’s got that classic charm, pulls well, and sounds great when you turn it on. I’ve been driving it around for a bit, mostly for short trips, but it’s really more of a project than a finished camper. The engine’s a lightly modified 1641cc Remtec with a few upgrades: stainless steel exhaust (hidden, good for up to 120bhp), ported heads, Engle 100 cam, Weber 34 ICT carbs, electric ignition, Petronix coil, and 8mm HT leads. It’s not a showpiece in any way — it’s a solid, honest-to-goodness running van that just needs someone to take it further.
