I’ve had this Ercol Model 705 table for a few years now and honestly, it’s become the centerpiece of my kitchen dining area. It’s not just a table — it’s a real piece of mid-century design, with that classic elm top that’s been refinished to show off the natural grain. The base is painted in Farrow & Ball “Railings,” which gives it a warm, lived-in look without being too flashy.

The cool thing is the extension — it folds neatly underneath when not in use, so it doesn’t clutter the space. Whether it’s just me and my partner having dinner or a bigger family get-together, it handles it all without looking out of place.
