So, I’ve got this 2023 Ford Focus Active 5-door, 1.0L mHEV, in Race Red — it’s actually been through a proper check and has a full service history, which I’m happy about. I bought it new from Paynes of Otley, West Yorkshire, which is a proper Ford main dealer with a long history — they’ve been around since 1907 and have been selling Ford cars since 1922.

It’s got a lot of smart bits: automatic transmission, keyless entry, keyless start, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, climate control, Bluetooth, DAB radio, and a full suite of driver assist features — like active park assist, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and even a rear-view camera.

The alloy wheels look nice, and there’s a spare wheel, too. Inside, it’s got cloth seats, heated steering wheel, and electric windows and mirrors. I’ve used it for a few years now and it’s been very reliable.

I’ve also got the driver assistance pack and parking pack — handy for city driving or when you’re parking in tight spots. There’s even a quickclear heated windscreen, which comes in handy in the winter.
