2020 Mercedes Benz A200 AMG Line Auto – Front and Side Damage, Starts and Drives, Repairable
Description
Hey there – I’m Shaun, and I’ve got this 2020 Mercedes A200 AMG Line auto sitting in bishop-auckland, County Durham. It’s a bit of a story – it was involved in some front and side damage, so it’s been through an insurance claim. It starts up and runs fine, which is good, but it’s not road-ready yet. It’s been assessed and is repairable, and I’m happy to share that with anyone who’s interested. The vehicle is currently held at our salvage yard, and I’m not selling it as “perfect” or “fully restored” – it’s exactly as it is. If you’re looking at it, I’d really recommend coming over to check it out yourself. I don’t have a mechanic on hand, so if you’re serious about buying it, I’d suggest bringing someone who knows cars to take a proper look.
I’ve got a few things to say about what you should know:
- All vehicles are sold as seen – no guarantees on performance, engine health, or interior parts like the parcel shelf, spare wheel, or sat-nav.
- The current MOT or HPI status might not reflect the full picture – some vehicles show clear on HPI at certain times, but they’ll eventually be recorded as claimed.
- It’s not safe to drive on public roads until it’s fully repaired and meets all legal standards. If it has a current MOT, that doesn’t mean it’s safe to use – it could have been damaged after the test.
- I’ve got a few options for payment – debit card (our preferred), cash at site or bank (with a 2% handling fee), or bank transfer. Deposits are non-refundable, so please keep that in mind.
If you’re interested, just give me a call between 9am and 4pm – I’m usually on the phone during those hours. I can also send over the registration and VIN numbers if you want.
No fancy marketing here – just a straightforward, honest rundown of what’s on the ground. If you’re looking for a solid used car with a bit of history, and you’re okay with doing your own checks, then this might be something worth a look.
All part exchanges are welcome – no problem with that.
Let me know if you want to come see it. I’ll do my best to make it easy to arrange.
— Shaun
