2025 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Trophy 5-door hatchback
Description
So, I’ve had this MG HS for a few months now — it’s one of those cars that feels like it was built for real driving, not just showrooms. It’s a 2025 model, 1.5-litre turbo with the DCT gearbox, and it’s got that sleek, modern look with the 19-inch blade alloy wheels — I like how it catches the light when it’s parked in the driveway. It’s not just flashy though — there’s a ton of tech packed in. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is crisp, and it works well with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I use it every day, and it’s a real timesaver. There’s also a virtual driver info display, which means I don’t have to keep looking at the dashboard — it shows things like speed, navigation, and alerts all at once.
I’ve used a lot of the safety features — adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and all that. The 360 camera is a lifesaver when parking, especially in tight spaces. I’ve even used the traffic jam assist when I’ve been stuck in traffic — it’s kind of funny how it keeps the car moving while I’m just trying to get through a stop.
Inside, it’s pretty spacious. The second row has a 60/40 fold seat, so I can fit extra gear or kids when needed. There are three headrests and a 3-seater bench — good for family trips or when you just want to chill with a couple of people. The seats are heated and adjustable, and the driver’s seat has lumbar support — I’ve been driving it for a few weeks now and it’s really comfortable.
I’ve also got a lot of little touches — wireless charging, USB ports (two front, two back), DAB radio, auto dimming mirrors, and even a rear privacy glass. The rear side doors are a bit of a surprise — they open smoothly and don’t get in the way.
The car has a decent bit of tech under the hood too — keyless entry, push-button start, remote locking, and an alarm with engine immobiliser. I haven’t had any issues with theft or security, and it’s been pretty reliable.
I’m based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and I’ve actually been driving this car daily for the last few months. It’s not just a car — it’s become part of my routine.
The price is £22,041 — I’ve kept it low because I’m not trying to sell it as a luxury item, just a solid, well-equipped, practical daily driver.
I’m not a dealer, but I’ve worked with a family-owned group called Waylands, which is actually based in Oxford — they’ve been named AM Dealer Group of the Year for six years straight (2019–2024). They’re good at helping with finance, insurance, and part exchanges, and they offer home delivery and click-and-collect if you’re not local.
I’m happy to chat about it or show it around — just let me know. It’s a solid car, and I’ve driven it a lot, so I know it’s reliable.
If you’re looking for something that’s practical, tech-savvy, and not too flashy — this one might be right for you.
