2017 BMW X5 3.0d M Sport 5dr Diesel Auto xDrive
Description
So, I’ve had this 2017 BMW X5 for a few years now — it’s been a solid daily driver and I’ve actually loved how it handles. It’s a 3.0-litre diesel with 313ps, which isn’t the most aggressive engine, but it’s smooth, quiet, and gets decent mileage at 47.1mpg. I drive it mostly in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, and it’s been great for the roads and weather here — especially when the rain comes. It’s Carbon Black outside, which I thought looked sharp back when I bought it, and the interior is Dakota leather in ivory white with black trim — feels classy, not too flashy. The M Sport suspension helps with both city driving and longer trips — it doesn’t just sit there, it actually adjusts to what’s ahead. The 20-inch alloy wheels (Light M Double Spoke style) are a bit sporty, and you can see them from a distance, which is nice.
Inside, it’s got everything you’d expect: climate control, a decent radio with Bluetooth, DAB, and a navigation system that’s actually useful. I’ve used the ConnectedDrive services a few times — useful for finding routes and checking for hazards. The parking sensors are pretty good too, and the reversing camera helps when parking in tight spots.
Safety features are solid — airbags, immobiliser, alarm, EBD, stability control, and even a child seat ISOFIX mount (two of them). I’ve never had a real issue with the car, and it’s been well maintained. There’s a 12V power socket in the boot, and one in the centre console — useful for charging small devices.
I’ve kept it in good shape, and the last service was done via condition-based monitoring, which means I know when it needs attention. The car’s been stored properly and hasn’t been driven long distances recently.
It’s worth noting I’ve had it for a few years now, and I’m not selling it because I need to — I just want to part with it. The price is £18,895.50 — not a lot, honestly, given how reliable it’s been.
If you’re local to Stranraer and actually want to check it out, please call me before you travel — not all cars are on site, and I don’t want anyone showing up with no idea where it is.
No fancy marketing, just a real car I’ve used, and I’m happy to show it to you if you’re interested.
