So, I’ve had this 2017 BMW 1 Series for a few years now — it’s been a real workhorse, and I’m finally downsizing. It’s a diesel, manual, 5-door hatch, and honestly, it’s got that classic BMW feel with the sporty touches. The interior’s clean and well-maintained, with the classic red highlights on the instrument cluster and coral red trim — I like how it pulls you in.

It has all the basics: automatic air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB, and that handy BMW ConnectedDrive system. You can even call for help if you get into trouble — not that I’ve ever needed to, but it’s nice to know. The seats are comfy, the windows work smoothly (even with fingertip control), and the front and rear airbags are solid. I’ve kept it well looked after, so the bodywork and paint are still spotless, with the high-gloss black finish on the bumpers and alloy wheels — those 17-inch double-spoke stars are a solid look.

There’s a good mix of practical features too — power sockets in the centre console and passenger footwell, a first-aid kit, warning triangle, floor mats, cup holders, and even a kid-friendly ISOFIX system for rear seats. The brake pad wear indicators are still working, and the alarm has a remote and engine immobiliser — good for peace of mind.
