This 2018 BMW 1 Series 116d SE Business hatchback is a solid, well-maintained diesel with a clean, practical setup – perfect for everyday use or just having a reliable little car on hand. The interior is quite nice – leather gear knob, anthracite velour floor mats, black door sill trim with the classic BMW logo, and lots of storage options. Front and rear seats fold neatly, and the 60/40 split makes it easy to fit gear or a couple of kids if needed. There’s even a rear headrest that folds down, and the centre armrest has storage.

Safety features are top-notch: ABS, EBD, stability control, cornering brake control, crash sensor, airbags (front, side, and head), seat belt pretensioners, and a decent warning system – including a lights-on reminder. It also has a tyre pressure monitor, a warning triangle, and a first aid kit in the boot.

I’ve kept it well looked after, and it’s been regularly serviced. The car has a solid history and runs smoothly. I’m moving to Pwllheli, Gwynedd, and it’s just a matter of time before I’m not driving it much anymore – so I’m passing it on.
