This 2015 Land Rover Defender 90 2.2 TDCi XS is one of the last of its kind – still a solid, well-maintained example with just 45,000 miles and been in one family since new. It’s finished in Santorini Black Metallic with a two-tone black and red leather interior that’s still looking great.

I’ve had it for years – it’s been my reliable workhorse for everything from weekend trips to camping and just plain getting around. The cabin is fully carpeted, has factory suede headlining, sun protection glass, and a sunroof. It’s got everything you’d expect: heated front seats, electric windows, traction control, alpine sound system, side runners, tow ball, drop plates, and all the usual bits.

The wheels are sawtooth alloy, and the tyres are Continental CrossContact AT – I’ve kept them in good shape and have had them checked regularly. It’s got a solid heavy-duty suspension, power-assisted steering, and a full convenience pack. The interior is clean, the carpets are in good condition, and the seats are still comfortable after all these years.

I’m based in Hungerford, West Berkshire, and I’ve been using this Defender for a few years now – it’s been through a fair bit, but never stressed out. I actually bought it new from James Paul Car Sales in Bucks Green – they’ve been around since 1990 and specialise in BMWs and performance cars.

They do a proper pre-delivery inspection, check the service history, and make sure everything’s in good order – including a fresh MOT if needed. I was really impressed with how thorough they are. All cars come with a 3-month parts and labour warranty (can extend to 3 years), and they offer a 30-day settling-in period where they’ll fix any minor issues for free – like squeaks or rattles.

I’ve also got a 6-month warranty on major components, and if anything fails after that, they’ll help cover the cost of repairs, especially if it’s something that shouldn’t happen given the age and mileage.
