Got this old Conran chair and footstool sitting in my loft in lifton, Liftondown, and it’s been quietly collecting dust for years. It’s a real mid-century piece with cream leather – the leather’s in pretty good shape, just a few tiny spots of wear, mostly near the edges (see pics). The chrome legs are solid, and it’s actually quite comfortable to use, especially when you’re lying back and swivelling. The only thing that’s a bit odd is that the aertex paper seal on the bottom has started to tear a bit – but it’s not visible from any normal angle. You’d only see it if you were lying flat on the floor with your head right underneath the swivel mechanism. That said, it doesn’t really affect anything. Chair is 109cm high, 80cm wide, 70cm deep. Footstool is 33cm high, 59cm wide, 50cm deep. It’s not a showpiece, but it’s been in the same room for ages and I’m just getting rid of it now.
