4ft Garden Bench with Reclaimed Mahogany Slats

Got this old Fleur de Lys garden bench from a local workshop – it’s been restored properly, not just painted over. The cast iron ends are painted with two coats of outdoor green paint, and I’ve replaced the old slats with 100% reclaimed mahogany. Mahogany’s one of the best woods for outdoor furniture – tough, beautiful, and lasts a long time. I gave it a good go at sealing it with two coats of osmo UV oil so it should hold up well to the elements.

It’s got central and two side metal strips for extra stability, and I’ve used new A2 stainless steel bolts and brass screws – all solid, not cheap plastic or flimsy stuff. Weighs in at 45kgs, so it’s not going anywhere, and it’s in excellent condition. Not a knock-off, not a cheap copy – it’s real, solid craftsmanship.
