Got this car a few months ago after hunting around Scotland — saw a lot of others that didn’t match the specs or had hidden issues. This one was a solid find. We ended up buying it because we needed a reliable vehicle to move our family around when they’d visit from abroad.

It’s a 2002 Elgrand XL with the proper 3.5L petrol engine and LPG conversion. The 82-litre tank means it runs smoothly, and LPG costs just 99p per litre — so it’s not a big cost. The seats can be adjusted in a few different ways, which makes it work for different situations.

It’s got 120,590 km on the clock — the speedometer was converted to mph at some point, so I’d guess the actual mileage is less than 100k miles. Suspension was raised, and all the old springs were replaced with new ones. It still has the original springs in the back, which gives a smoother ride over long drives.

I’ve got a 16.5-inch TV monitor — we used a Fire Stick to keep kids entertained. The Pioneer headunit was swapped out, and the old one (from 2026) was replaced. Tyres are less than a year old, and the alloys are unmarked. There’s a twin sunroof, 7 comfy seats, and plenty of paperwork.

LPG was recently serviced, and I had a new ECU fitted last week — everything works perfectly now. The passenger side door is electric, so you can open it with a remote, handle, or button. All the systems work as they should.

I’ll be removing the number plate before it goes out. There’s a vinyl wrap on the bonnet and some highlights on the wings — not fancy, just something to give it a bit of character.

It’s been used only a few times recently, so it’s still in great shape. I’ve been driving it a lot over the years, and it just feels reliable. It’s now in Warrington, England — if you’re local and looking for something practical, it might be worth a look.
