Ultra Lite Mobility Scooter – Works on Flat Ground, Needs Motor Fix
Description
So, I’ve got this old Ultra Lite mobility scooter that’s been in my shed for a few years now. It’s not much to look at, and honestly, it’s not really built for hills — I’ve tested it and it’s only really going about 2mph at best, especially when trying to climb a slope. That means it’s basically only useful on flat surfaces, like a driveway or a bit of patio. It comes with a brand new battery and charger — both are fully charged and working, but the power’s still a bit off. I think it’s down to the brushes in the motor, which I’ve seen online for around £8 on eBay and can easily fix with a quick video tutorial. If you’re up for it, you could do that yourself.
It does make a little bleep sound from time to time and will show a red light occasionally — not a big deal, just a bit of odd behaviour. The seat and handle fold down, which makes it easy to fit in a car boot. There’s also a blue handle at the front to pull it along when needed.
Dimensions: 43 inches wide x 18 inches deep x 35 inches high.
I’m not taking returns on this — it’s not a brand-new thing, and it’s not fully functional. It’s more of a “part-working” item, but it might be useful for someone who just needs something simple for flat ground.
I’m based in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire. If you’re local, I can drop it off or arrange a delivery for a small extra fee.
My furniture shop, LOW COST MOVES, is on the St Paul’s trading estate, Copley Mill off Huddersfield Road — go through the big gates next to St Paul’s church, turn left immediately, and you’ll see it at the bottom of the slope, up from the red steps.
We’re open Monday to Friday 10am–5pm and Saturday 10am–3:30pm. Closed Sundays and long bank holidays.
It’s only £85.50 — not much, and honestly, it’s been sitting in storage for ages. If you’re just looking for something basic to get around on flat ground, this might be worth a look.
