Got this old Mercedes Sprinter converted fully for wheelchair access – it’s been with Mercedes-Benz the whole time, so it’s had proper care and service. Just done a service recently, clocked up 116,000 miles and still runs smooth. The tail lift is a solid 350kg electric hydraulic system with a fully electric remote – no fiddly levers, just push a button and it lifts. Front seats are fully electric with reverse swivel, so if I'm in a wheelchair, I can look back or slide into it when I need to. The two rear seats fold away easily, and there’s a centre lock-down plate so the wheelchair stays secure when it’s fitted. Glass is tinted all around – makes it easier to drive in the sun or in the rain. Automatic diesel, air-con, cruise control, and light steering – it’s not heavy at all. I’ve kept it well maintained over the years and it’s been a real life-saver. It’s sitting in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire, and I’m thinking of selling it after using it for a while.
