Gibson ES347S Electric Guitar (1990)
Description
I’ve had this Gibson ES347S since the early 90s and it’s been a solid companion through a lot of gigs and practice sessions. It’s a classic ES model — mahogany neck, maple body with a center block, and that lovely ebony fretboard with the MOP inlays. The headstock has bound crown and gold Grover tuners, which I always liked the look of. The only thing I’ve replaced is the pickguard, and even that’s just a small patch — everything else is original. There’s a bit of surface scratch and a tiny bit of buckle rash on the back, which you can see in the photos — not much at all. A little gold tarnish on the hardware too, which is normal for this age. It’s a mono guitar, but it has a second toggle switch for coil tap — really useful for adding some extra tone. The tailpiece is the factory TP-6, and it plays really smooth with a great feel.
It’s in great shape overall — not flashy, just solid and true to its roots. Comes with the original Gibson case. I’m based in Saltdean, Brighton, so collection is easiest, but I’m happy to send it anywhere in the UK — just need to cover shipping.
I’ve got a few other guitars on the shelf if you’re interested, so if you’re into vintage electrics, might be worth a look.
