2008 Ford Transit LWB Dropside
Description
Yeah, I’ve got this old Transit LWB dropside from 2008 — it’s been on the clock for about 105k miles, last MOT was a year ago, and I’ve got the full logbook and keys. It’s been through two previous owners, including me, and I’ve just had new springs and batteries fitted last week. The rear bed’s 3.8m long, and there are some boards bolted to the sides — I can leave them on or take them off if you’d prefer. It’s not a locked van, so it doesn’t lock from the outside — I’ve got a simple fix for that if I get the chance (just take off the inner door panel).
It’s not quite what you’d call a showroom model, but it’s solid, ready to go out and do work — I’ve been using it for recovery and light hauling around Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire.
I’m not sure how much it’s worth, but it’s definitely not a showpiece — it’s a practical, reliable van that’s been used and cared for. If you’re looking for something that’s actually ready to roll, this might be it.
(Price is £2,160 — just let me know if you're interested, I’ll be honest about what it’s like and what it needs.)
