1990 Honda VFR400 NC30 Type 1 UK Original
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this bike for years — a 1990 Honda VFR400 NC30 Type 1, UK registered, in original blue. It’s one of those rare ones that people talk about but don’t see much of. First registered in August 1990, it’s had just four owners and only covered 8,198 miles from new. I’ve seen it in a few shows, and honestly, it’s still looks as sharp as when it came out. It’s not been fully restored, but it’s been recommissioned — new battery, all the receipts for parts, and MOTs tracking its history. Comes with two keys, the original tool kit, service book, and the stock exhaust. I’ve had it checked and it’s ready to ride. It’ll get a fresh 12-month MOT and a service before it goes to whoever picks it up.
I’m based in Polegate, Wealden, so it’s not too far from where I live — easy to get to if you’re in the area. I’ve only ever kept it as a serious bike, not for show-off rides, but it’s a real piece of motorcycling history. The NC30 was the smaller sibling to the RC30, and back when Honda was still making the kind of bikes you’d want to talk about in a garage.
It’s not going to be the fastest or the loudest, but it’s solid, reliable, and has a real soul. I’m not selling it for a lot — it’s £12,599.10 — but it’s a bike that’s going to hold its value and get more valuable over time.
I’ve only ever sold bikes to people who actually care about them, not just looking for a quick deal. If you’re into classic bikes and want something that’s real, not flashy, this one might be your kind of thing.
If you’re interested, I’ll be happy to chat — no pressure, just good old-fashioned bike talk.
