Description

I’ve had this 2020 Polo GTI for a few years now and honestly, it’s been one of the most fun cars I’ve ever driven. It’s a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 200 PS — not the biggest, but it’s punchy enough to make you feel like you’re actually driving something sporty. The DSG gearbox shifts smoothly, and it’s great for getting around without having to overthink gear changes.

It’s Euro 6 compliant, so it’s not bad for the environment — and the engine doesn’t smoke or stink, which I appreciate. The front has that bold GTI grille, red accents, and 17-inch alloys that give it a sharp, aggressive look. It’s not a full sports car, but it definitely stands out on the road, especially when you’ve got the suspension lowered and the GTI badges on there.

Inside, the seats are plaid with red stitching — kind of cool, and I’ve never seen them in a regular Polo. The 8-inch Discover Media system works well with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the digital display is clean and easy to use. The cabin feels roomy for a hatchback, and there’s decent head and leg room — no complaints about that.

Safety features are solid too: adaptive cruise, lane assist, parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking. I’ve used a lot of them, and they’ve been pretty reliable. Airbags and a solid structure mean I feel safe driving it, especially in busy areas.

I’m based in Armagh City, so if you’re in the area and want to take a test drive, I’m happy to let you check it out. I’ve kept it well-maintained and have had regular servicing. The price is £15,569.10 — it’s not cheap, but for what it offers, I think it’s worth it.

I’ve been working with Tustain Motors for a while — they’re a local family-run lot with branches across Northumberland, the Borders, and East Lothian. They’ve got over 400 cars in stock, so if you see something you like, they’ll bring it to your nearest branch for you to drive. No pressure, no deposits — just a chance to test it out.

They also offer a minimum 3-month parts and labour warranty, and I can get a 12 or 24-month one if needed. I don’t usually sell cars, but this one has been around long enough that I figured it’s time to part with it.

If you’re in the area or thinking about a small, spirited hatchback with a bit of character — this one’s got you covered. Let me know if you’d like to see it.
