I’ve had this bookcase for years — it’s been a staple in my kids’ room since they were little. The blue is a soft, clean colour that matches the rest of the room, and it’s made from sustainable solid lime wood and lime plywood — no MDF at all, which is a big plus for me. It holds up to 85 books, so it’s not just for alphabet books, you can stash anything from storybooks to activity sheets.

It’s got a nice sturdy build and comes with two screws for wall mounting — I’ve used it on the wall, and it’s stable. Dimensions are 115cm high, 77cm wide, and only 7cm deep, so it doesn’t take up too much space. Originally cost £169, but I’ve kept it for years and it’s actually been really useful. I’m getting rid of it now because I’ve moved a bit and need a bit of space — it’s going to a new place on Lostock, Rumworth Road. It’s a solid piece, and honestly, I still use it every day. If you’re a parent or have kids, it’s worth a look. I’m not charging much — just £54.
