2022 Ford Ecosport 1.0 EcoBoost 140 ST-Line 5-door hatchback
Description
This one’s a solid 2022 Ford Ecosport with the 1.0 EcoBoost engine and 140bhp — not the most powerful, but plenty of punch for everyday driving. It’s in Agate Black, which isn’t flashy but holds up well. The interior is a mix of neosuede and ebony trim with red stitching, looks sharp and feels comfortable.Key features I’ve kept: SYNC 3 with navigation and an 8-inch touchscreen, rear-view camera, parking sensors, and cruise control. I’ve got TSR (traffic sign recognition) too, which helps when you’re on the motorway. The EATC keeps the cabin at a comfortable temperature, and the seats have decent adjustability — front passenger seat can be moved fore-aft and reclined, with headrests that go up and down.
Wheels are 17-inch 5-spoke dark tarnish, black roof rails, and body-colour door handles and mirrors. The mirrors are electric and heated, which is a nice touch in winter. All windows are electric — front and rear — and the wipers auto-sense rain. Front fog lights are there, along with automatic headlights.
The cabin is clean and well-maintained, with a soft interior cover, leather-trimmed gearshift knob, and a full-length overhead console with a sunglasses holder. There’s also a centre console with a sliding armrest and cup holders, and a little bit of storage under the front seats.
It’s got a decent load space with a foldable rear seat, and even a storage shelf in the boot. I’ve got a tyre repair kit and tie-down hooks too. The boot floor is adjustable, and the rear seats are split 60-40, with headrests that go up and down.
I’ve driven it fairly regularly, and it’s been kept in good shape. It’s a bit of a throwback in styling — ST-Line design with dark sport inserts, spoiler, and body cladding — but it’s still practical and reliable.
It’s based in Fareham, Hampshire, and I’m looking to part with it for a bit of a break. The asking price is £11,943 — not a lot of people would expect to find a car like this with this much detail still in good shape.
If you’ve ever driven a Ford Ecosport and liked the balance between practicality and style, this might be worth a look. Just don’t expect luxury — it’s not a luxury car, it’s a well-rounded, no-nonsense hatchback.
