So, I’ve got this old-school Mercedes-Benz Vito that’s been fully upgraded to electric — not just a plug-in, but a proper 100kWh PRO Tourer L2. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid. I bought it a few years ago and it’s been sitting in my garage in Watchet, Somerset, mostly just getting the occasional test drive, but I’ve finally decided to part with it.

It runs on electricity — zero CO2, zero fuel bills, just pure quiet power. The battery has an 8-year or 160,000km guarantee, which I’m happy about. I’ve charged it up using rapid DC charging, and I can get from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes — that’s a big win if you're on the move.

It’s got a sleek Graphite Grey Metallic finish and a fabric interior in Caluma Black — not super fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable. The seats are good — driver and co-driver both have lumbar support, and there’s a 3-seater bench in the front with a folding seat, plus a 3-seater bench in the second row. Plenty of space for up to 8 people. The medium wheelbase means it’s not too big to park or turn in tight spots, which I’ve found useful when I’m moving around the coast.

Inside, it’s got a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with DAB, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. USB socket, aircon (semi-automatic with TEMPMATIC), reversing camera, and a parking package — all standard. The glass in the back is shaded black, which helps keep things cool and private.

I’ve had it serviced by a proper Mercedes technician, and it’s been kept well-maintained. The price I’m asking is £38,043 — which is a bit high, I know, but it’s what it is. I don’t expect it to sell fast, but if someone’s looking for a reliable, practical electric van with real range and comfort, this might be worth a look.
