Description

This one’s been sitting in my shed for a while, not really used but still full of character. It’s a double-panel stained glass window showing the Annunciation – Mary and Gabriel, painted in rich, detailed colours. I think it’s from the late 1800s to early 1900s, taken out of a church back when I was a kid, and I found it tucked away in a box. The glass is hand-painted and kiln-fired, held together with lead cames, and framed in wood. It’s about 1m wide and 1.2m tall. There’s a small crack in one pane – not major, just a bit of a ding. I didn’t know what to do with it for years, then I thought, “maybe someone else would find it interesting.” It’s from llannerch-y-medd, Isle of Anglesey. I’m not selling it for a lot – £3,600 – just passing it on to someone who might actually appreciate it. If you’re into old church art or stained glass, let me know. I’d love to hear what you think.
