John Deere EuroPro 1838 Ride-on Mower
Description
So, I’ve had this John Deere EuroPro 1838 ride-on mower for years – it’s been my go-to for cutting the lawn in Boscastle, Cornwall, and honestly, it’s been a real workhorse. It’s a gear drive hydrostatic model with 5 forward and 1 reverse, and I bought it new, so it’s still got the original owner’s manual tucked away. It’s road registered, but tax and MOT are exempt – just means it’s on SORN, so no need to worry about that. If you’re planning to actually drive it on the road, you’ll need insurance, which isn’t too bad at around £50 a year.
The cutting deck’s been sandblasted and fully restored – looks sharp now. I’ve got a spare set of blades just in case. It has LED head lights, front and rear hazard lights, a new carb, and it’s been serviced with fresh oil and pug. There’s a tow bar too, if you ever want to pull it behind something. The battery’s not brand new, but it’s still working fine.
The grass collection box, chute, and bags are all there – just need a bit of TLC. I’d suggest the new owner checks and replaces the belts, it’s a simple job and would give it a bit more peace of mind.
Condition is as shown in the pictures – no major issues, just a bit of wear where you’d expect. Buyer collects, obviously. If you’ve got any questions, just shoot me a message. I’m happy to chat.
