Vauxhall Combo 1700 CDTI 1.3L Ecotec 4 – Diesel work van with tow bar
Description
So, I’ve had this Vauxhall Combo 1700 CDTI 1.3L for a few years now – it’s been properly looked after, regularly serviced, and starts and runs like a dream. It’s a solid work van with a bit of character, and I’m not planning on selling it to someone who’s just going to park it in the garage. It’s got a one-piece lift-up rear door, which I’ve actually thought about using for a camper conversion – could be a fun project if you're into that. The engine’s a timing chain setup, which is a bit of a plus, and it’s been serviced recently. I’ve just done a full check, and it’s running smooth with great mpg – I’ve been getting over 48 miles per gallon, which is more than I expected.
The van has 115,000 miles on it, which isn’t bad for a diesel van, and it’s got a clean MOT until January 2026. It’s got ABS, electric windows, a CD player, Bluetooth so you can connect your phone and play music, and it’s got a flashing light on the roof – useful if you’re towing something.
It’s a 2-seater, 3-door estate, with good tyres, and it’s in low insurance group (1), so tax is only £124.50 a year. I’ve had it for years and it’s always been reliable – just drives perfectly.
I’ve kept it in west-mersea, Colchester, and I’m happy to deliver it if needed, though that’ll be an extra charge. Honestly, if you’re looking for a dependable, low-maintenance van that’s ready to go – this one’s been in great shape and could easily be used for moving stuff, camping, or just as a daily work van.
Price is £1,620 – it’s a fair bit, but it’s been well cared for and has real value.
