Britax Römer Max Way Plus Extended Rear Facing Car Seat - Black
Description
So I’ve been using this Britax Römer Max Way Plus for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been a solid go-to for my kids. I’m not selling it because I need the cash — just because I’ve upgraded to a different one now, and I don’t need it anymore. It’s all black, not the storm grey version, which I noticed when I first got it — so if you’re looking for a clean, dark seat, this one’s a match. The tear in the inner fabric is tiny, barely noticeable, and I’ve never had any issues with it. No crashes, no accidents — just normal life, normal driving.
The thing I love most is how long you can keep your child rear-facing. From 9 months up to 6 years, it’s safe and comfortable in that rear-facing position. That’s the safest way to travel, especially in a frontal crash — the seat absorbs the force better when the child is facing back, so less stress on the head and neck.
It also has that side impact protection (SICT), which I’ve actually used when driving on winding roads or near construction sites. The side wings are soft and deep, and the SICT adjusts to the side closest to the door — just a quick tweak, no fuss.
The seat reclines in multiple positions, which helps with comfort when the kids are napping or getting fussy. And the cover is machine washable — no more messy spills or crying over dirty seat covers. I’ve used that feature plenty of times.
I’ve got a 5-point harness, which is what I always thought was safest — keeps the child snug and secure in all directions during a crash. The headrest and harness are easy to adjust with one hand, and I always make sure it’s just above the shoulders before buckling.
It’s 7kg, fits kids from 9 months to 25kg, and the dimensions are about 64x45x60 cm — not too big, doesn’t take up much space in the back seat.
It’s been used, but never in a crash, and I’ve kept it well maintained. I’m offering it for £135 — it’s been half price compared to retail, so it’s a pretty good deal if you’re thinking of getting a rear-facing seat for your little one.
It’s in Doune, Stirling — just a quick drive from the town centre, so I can pick it up when it’s convenient. Let me know if you’re interested — happy to chat!
