VOLKSWAGEN GOLF 1.6 FSI MANUAL 5 DOOR

Description

So, I’ve got this old VW Golf here — 1.6 FSI petrol, 5-door hatchback, 2005, 55 reg. It’s been parked for a bit, so it’s been sitting on a battery for a while, and I’ve been meaning to get it sorted.

Mileage’s at 112k, not a lot for the age, and it’s been mechanically overhauled before the accident. The rear end took a bit of a hit — you can see it in the pics — but I’ve got a new black bumper and fresh lights in. Just missing a boot lid, which I can get in the same colour for about £50.

I’ve replaced the battery, water pump, starter motor, rear calipers, and all the belts — including the timing belt. The engine and gearbox are solid, no knocks or bangs when driving. It runs fine and feels like it’s in good shape under the skin.

MOT expired, so that’s something to keep in mind. No power steering, no aircon — just the basics. It’s got electric windows, central locking, alloy wheels, and a CD player. All the seats are cloth, and the paint is metallic black.

It’s drivable, but I’ve been meaning to sell it because I’ve been using it as a weekend driver and now I’m thinking of moving on.
