2022 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Excite 5-door hatchback
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a bit — it’s a 2022 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Excite, five-door hatchback, petrol, manual gearbox. I didn’t plan to sell it, honestly — I’ve been using it for daily drives, weekend trips, and just enjoying the ride. It’s got a decent mix of tech and practical features, like rain-sensing wipers, front and rear aero wipers, and one-touch electric windows all around. The driving aids are solid — ABS, ESP, hill descent control, hill launch assist, and cornering brake control. There’s also a full digital dash with a 12.3" driver info screen and a 10.1" touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, USB charging, DAB radio, and a navigation system are all there. I’ve actually used the traffic jam assist and lane keep assist quite a bit — really helps when you're stuck in traffic or on long drives.
It’s got rear parking sensors, a rear camera, cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, and even an emergency call feature. I’ve never needed to use the parking brake auto-hold, but it’s nice to know it’s there. The mirrors are electric, body-coloured, and heated — useful in winter.
I’ve kept it well-maintained, no major damage, just regular servicing. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable and comfortable. The silver roof rails and body-coloured bumpers give it a clean, modern look.
It’s currently based in Nailsea, North Somerset, and I’m just looking to part ways with it. The asking price is £12,033.90 — I know that’s a bit high for a used car, but I’ve been using it for a few years and it’s been a solid companion.
I’m not a big fan of the car-buying process, so I didn’t go through a dealer — I bought it from Vertu, one of the UK’s larger motor retailers with a network across the country. They’ve got a good reputation for customer service, and I’ve always felt well supported.
If you’re interested, I’m happy to chat — just let me know. No pressure, just a car I’ve genuinely used and liked over the years.
