I’ve had this 2016 Hyundai Tucson for a few years now and it’s been a solid daily driver for my family. It’s a five-door estate with only 78,000 miles on it, so it’s still in great shape despite the years. Runs on petrol, so no issues with ULEZ – that’s a big plus if you’re in county-tyrone, Northern Ireland.

The MOT’s valid until October 2025, which gives me peace of mind. It’s got a nice 8-inch touchscreen navigation system with DVD, Bluetooth, cruise control with speed limiter, digital clock, and an emergency stop signal – all the basics, plus some nice safety features like lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera.

Inside, it’s roomy with 5 seats and a 60/40 split folding rear seat that can lie flat – super handy when we’re travelling with kids or going on longer trips. The seats are heated, there’s climate control, and the upholstery is cloth, which I’ve been happy with. There’s a lot of storage too – door pockets, a centre armrest, ashtray, glovebox with lock and light, and even a 12V socket in the boot.

I’ve kept it well-maintained and it’s been through regular servicing. The features like automatic headlights, LED lights, tinted glass, and a rear spoiler are all there, and it’s got a decent amount of tech for a family car.
