2023 MG4 Trophy EV Long Range 64kWh 5-door electric hatchback

Description

So I’ve got this 2023 MG4 Trophy EV long range – 64kWh battery, fully electric, 5-door hatchback – and I’m parting ways with it. It’s been a solid ride, and I’ve been using it mostly for daily commuting and some weekend drives.

The car’s got a nice 10.25” floating touchscreen, 360-degree camera, and a range of driving modes (Eco, Sport, Snow, Custom, Standard). You can control everything from the touchscreen – from climate control to route planning – and it plays Android Auto and Apple CarPlay seamlessly.

Inside, it’s quite comfy – leather-style seats with cloth inserts, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and a 4-way adjustable passenger seat. The second row has a 60/40 fold, so it’s useful when I need to carry stuff or drop off a couple of kids. There’s a 3-seat bench and three 3-point seatbelts.

It has all the safety stuff you’d expect: blind spot detection, lane keep assist, driver attention assist, adaptive cruise, traffic jam assist, and even pedestrian detection with emergency braking. There’s also a rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, and a smart warning system if you leave the doors open.

The audio is decent – 6 speakers with 3D sound, DAB+ radio, and two USB ports in the front and one in the back. I’ve got a wireless charger too, which is handy.

It’s got a 7kW onboard charger and supports vehicle-to-load charging, so you can charge it at home or even plug it into a power point. One-pedal drive is a nice touch – just one pedal to drive, and it’s smooth.

The exterior looks sharp – 18-inch alloy wheels with aero covers, LED headlights with rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, and a rear spoiler. The glass is tinted, and there’s a privacy glass on the rear.

I bought it through a MG-approved dealer – Waylands – which is a family-run group based in Langholm, Dumfries and Galloway. I’ve used them for a few years now and they’ve been reliable, with good service and fair pricing. They even offer home delivery and part exchanges.

It’s been well-maintained, and I’ve driven it over 150k miles – it’s not flashy, but it runs well and has all the tech you’d want. I’m not looking to sell it fast, so if you’re interested, I’d be happy to chat.
